The Safe-a-Rooni telephone information line is a free public service that targets elementary school-age children, parents, and other caregivers with information about avoiding unintentional (accidental) injuries. It uses animal characters, music and humor to provide information about the most serious injury risks to kids. Safe-a-Rooni also includes more than 40 fact sheets that contain childhood injury prevention tips and statistics. Safe-a-Rooni is a trademark of the Minnesota Safety Council and is used under license by the Safety and Health Council of Greater Omaha and the South Dakota Safety Council.
